My problem was that I liked to play different types of game genre. Racing, flight, space etc.
So I, like many of you I beleive, used home furniture with provisional clamp on mountings for joysticks and steering wheels. When changing game one had to spend some time also rebuilding the "cockpit".
After adding also the Oculus Rift to the equipment, the need for available buttons when being "blind" was a fact. Then I began to build my static game rig and it was finalized in 2017.

It's a wood construction covered with fake leather.

Yes, it's a lot of control buttons but after a while you learn to find them in the "dark".

and, yes it's a mixture of genre controls but some of them are general.
Most flight controls on the left and racing controls on the right.

Some industrial switches for the mechanical feeling when shifting/lower the gears.
