    This is my setup so far. Had to add pistons to make it work after burning a lot of drivers. Any suggestion on better drivers? The IBT2 's don't last long. They cost only 10€ but I'm prepared to invest in better ones. Ordered allready MM-drivers but they were all defected on arrival

    What are the specs of the motor being used, as at 130W there are limits to what you can expect.

    My Motion Simulator:

    The motors pull 14 amps, so 168 watts. The rig is not balanced, it's leaning to the right. Without me it tilts forward left. With me it tilts to the back left. With the festo/springs setup it sits in the middle and it's easy to move to front/back, left/right. Not so hard on the engine thus. I connected the 2 pistons with a controled valve so if the one is pushed in, it helps the other a bit to return. Without them I burn the drivers in seconds. With the pistons everything seems to work but they don't last. I'm still working on it. Cable management and better connections. Maybe this will help. But willing to invest in better drivers (any suggestion?). The motors come from a themepark attraction (I paid 30€/ piece; new value >1000€) so they are up for the job. I used wiper motor before but they couldn't carry my weight.

    It is important the rig is balanced, with you in it and all peripherals attached, particularly given the marginal hardware: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-of-gravity-to-balance-a-motion-simulator.55/

    Better drivers are a fine option, but first you need to confirm the fundamental are sound, like the balance of the rig.

    It seems you are relying on the 2 pistons with a controlled valves for compensation for other potential hardware/design flaws, can you detail the specs and operation a bit more?

    In my (admittedly novice) opinion, I think this design is impossibly difficult to accomplish.

    [edit]: The reason I think so is because that rig looks incredibly heavy.

    Yes, it's very heavy and to be good I would have to place the u-joint totally to one side wich. I tried and I had too little momentum on 1 side. Like I said, no it works fine but what to expect with drivers that cost 10€?
    What are the options: polulu, cytron?

    So, I use two heavy motors on the front (IBT2 mode 2) and on the right a little piston to help it brake and have some rebound (spring) when going back. In the middle a heavy duty u-joint. On the back to pistons with springs and valved. With the valve I can adjust the system according to my weight or my sons. The end of the pistons are connected so if the left one is pushed in, the right one is moving upwards so it gives some initial momentum. The upper let-out of the piston is open so it can release the air when pushed out. Third motor on the back for traction loss.

    edit: I got rid of all the pistons and rebalanced my rig. Works fine now without the pistons and springs.
