    Hi all
I have almost all parts that i need to start my new sim build and have made some progress with the metal work and some tests with the electronics. I'll post some pics later.
    Cheers

Before starting any metal work i had bought my motors from our marketplace when @prodigy was selling them and yes my shopping list has started a long time back in the past.
here is a pic comparing my old sim motors with the ones i am going to use now
    wiper vs gear motor.jpeg
and had laser cut my motor mounts

When i had a final plan to go on, i visited a friend who is helping with the welding and came back with a half done bottom frame and the seat frame that i could start measuring to see if plans went well.

i had also laser cut my u joint plates
    IMG_0757.JPG

and when i visited my friend the second time i brought back the u joints welded with the plates

    and a almost finished frame

I have a bad habit and don't test things i buy if i don't really need them. had bought a long time back some MM from a buyer @bruce stephen had got his working ones and never tested them.
When time came and had started building my new sim and needed to see if they were working i soldered wires directly to the board
    IMG_0731.JPG IMG_0732.JPG
uploaded SMC3 to the arduino and started testing them with a 12v dummy motor
    IMG_0851.JPG
and both were not working. one side had bad chip symptoms so i didn't need any other excuse and went for the 2x60A sabertooth.

when sabertooth arrived i flashed the arduino with @BlazinH code for the sabertooths and surprisingly it was not working.I am not that dumb i thought so i can't hook up two cables and my thoughts went that the arduino was bad. i flashed a second i had ,did the same and exluded the faulty arduino then i thought i was not uploading the sketch right and started to flashing it again.

after a few tries with none success i was going to ask for some help and wired them again to send some pics.while i was taking the pics and was wondering what i did wrong and that both MM were having the exact same problem and i was using the same cables, a brilliant idea came to measured them with a multimeter and found out that i had a broken cable:mad:.
now i have tested them again and MM are fully working and so is the sabertooth:grin

I had to swap the gear from one of my motors and a friend made a new gasket for the gearbox
    IMG_0858.JPG IMG_0857.JPG

and 3d printed my mounts for my potentimeters
    IMG_0818.JPG IMG_0821.JPG
and some sidetracking between my sim build
    IMG_0828.JPG IMG_0830.JPG

need a few things to sort out to go at stage#2 where i will test motion and hope i wont see the magic smokeo_O.

that skull is badass. nice print job. If you plan on testing with the mm's be sure to attach ACTIVE cooling first. they are not very tolerant of heat past about 140f/60c. and the stink lasts forever. Isnt that right @SilentChill :grin

@bruce stephen that smell really stinks and lasts for a long time:p.
i didn't bother putting any cooling while i was testing because i used a 12v 1A psu with the dummy motor and for short time.
for the real test with the server psu
    IMG_0839.JPG
i have attached some active cooling on the MM for the big motors.
    IMG_0854.JPG

for the seat motors i am going to use the sabertooth i got and the MM for the TL when time comes for that stage but will start testing first with the MM and move on with the sabertooth when i get some things sorted out in my mind.
