Dont know why Sirnoname is trying to propose you a Powerride.
It is imho NOT worth to spend 5000Euro on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn, I just have seen the current prices.
For this money you could get 3 Frex simconmotion which work imho 10times better.

I have the pneumatic RnR with I/O valves. I know what I am talking about.
Its imho not worth to spend 1000 Euro on a standard RnR even!!!

If you get one via ebay for 200-300 Euro, ok.
We cannot give you a guaranty that you'll find a used RnR via ebay. But sometimes there is one.

If Sirnoname would release the Profiler2, finally, and we would be able to connect proportional valves on it, perhaps the RnR would become a good Simulator.
But not with the I/O valves.

If you want a perfect plugnplay racing simulator, then buy a Frex! Forget the RnR!

If I was you, I'd buy 3 simconmotions instead of 4, and I would order some additional H-shifters, wheel adapters, wheels and button boxes instead ;)

Ok, but for Frex issues please visit this thread.
    http://forum.racesimcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=809

If you want your 3DOF Platform to support some more games as just MS FS someday, and to upgrade your platform to X-Sim Software/hardware, then open a new thread in the DIY Simulators with X-Sim section.

Unfortunatly your simulator has nothing in common with X-Sim right now.
Thats why I have pasted your thread in the Off-Topic section.

But please keep us updated regarding your platform! :)

    regards

Yes, Tronicgr' project is the most promising project right now.

I think his controller will be connectable to the servo drivers of your platform. We will see...

On Tronicgr Motion you can feel the pumps of ground?
Actualy they work only on 2 axis (Fwr/Bck;Rgh/Lef) isnt it?
Is possible one more axis to Heave or Yaw?

Yes, its many times faster than the previous...! I could even see the bump effects from running the curbs... and I was using only the x.y acceleration data not the Z accelaration axis yet!!

I would prefer if the new profiler 2.0 could output the heave (z) in USO along with other x,y data.

    Something like: <sync_byte>~x~~y~~z~

And an option for even more axis (for other purposes) would be nice too!

    Hehe, why not?

I could add a fan into a pwm channel to control its speed to follow the KPH data! If you go fast it will then blow air to your hair, adding a bit more to the simulation

    Hello

About Frex, as I said before I allready start the negociations for 4 systems!
As you now I only can spend around 5000€ for all systems,
I propose one discount because I will buy 4 at one time but they dont agree :(
And in one of emails they told what parts will be need to complete the system:
    1x Cockpit ------------------------------------------------------ 238.72EUR
    1x Monitor Rack ------------------------------------------------ 140.28EUR
    1x Mouse Plate ------------------------------------------------- 24.61EUR
    1x Keyboard Holder ------------------------------------------- 18.46EUR
    1x Shift Stand -------------------------------------------------- 30.15EUR
    1x SimConMOITON, BASE,Damper, AC adapter set ------- 1,376.94EUR

TOTAL exc taxes and shipping ------------------------------- 1,829.16EUR

So I have to reduce the costs!!! :?

I ask them if is possible buy only SimConMOITON, BASE,Damper, AC adapter set and after I complete the parts, and their answer was We will not selling SimConMOTION as a part.

    Any advice??

When I ask for help to reduce costs I mean if some part can be in a easy and low cost way made by myself.

Dear sirnoname, I whould like to know your opinion about what project you recomend me follow, as you know I will make my home project as soon as possible.

You have to decide by yourself what you want to build. I gave you several toughts about the different simulator types. What do you want more?
Its up to you if you buy a Frex keyboard holder, or not^^

Sure a 15000 Euro 3DOF platform is better than any DIY low budget solution.
You told us you dont have the time to build a simulator by yourself, and you seem to be one of the money is no problem guys. So, what do you want to hear from us?

When Tronic has relesed his controller, you can upgrade your Platform sim with it.

Regarding the Frex. I gave you a link to the their forum alredy. You'll get all your Frex-related questions answered there.

just order via their onlineshop, and just order what you want. They are not very frindley with their customers, but the products are great.
Important, order a pedalset and a wheel adapter for the dfp. normal plastik pedals are not good in combination with the simcon, the steering wheel as well...
