It would be a good idea to introduce your plans (perhaps with a drawing and a list of the planned hardware) in an own thread in "DIY Motion Simulator Projects".

Something like this is "seat mover", right? :)

You had the chance of 50 to 50, and ...... wrong.

    No, that's a compact frame mover. :)

At a seat mover only the seat is moving, the name says it already. ;) The pedals and the steering wheel are fixed.

You should lay your guitar aside and make your school tasks. Didn't your parents say it over and over again ? :grin

By the way, i've finished my diy h-shifter (to see in my thread).
And tadah....... my sim is also a seat mover.

I'm here just to Learn, so it's normal that I might say something stupid... I've read FAQ in my spare time (the night, when I don't stay at work or when I'm not playing instrument or programming), but the world of simulator is very hard!

Anyway, I want to make this simulator like passion, not work...little by little, i've already finished my model.

Good job for your h...very impressive with Ard :)

Ok, i did not want to make jokes about you. I see you're serious about building a sim.
The only way to find out all about sims is to read, read, read.
I wish you all the best for your project.:thumbs

What you want to aim for is maximising the design leverage available for any particular design.

Mine started as a 2DOF and for a compact design I had a bit longer leverage length with front mounted motors, once I had found where the balance point was for my particular rig.

I have extended the top connection bracket back to add the 3DOF for heave and run a longer lever tube on that motor. If I had done the 3DOF from the start I would have made the base 500x600mm, instead of the 500x500mm it is now.

    Thanks @noorbeast , and thanks @Bernd Manger,

now i'm playing with this model, this is my first test...

When I have some times, I will create new thread.

In this simulation I have setting Roll (70%), Sway(70%), Surge(90%) and Heave (80%). Next step will be to put motors on front to see differences and make model more compact.
