Hi guys just wanted to share my progress with my Sim build.

I have used for most part the directions from racingmats wiper motor and Arduino setup with a motomonster to run the motors.
I am currently waiting on my rod ends to be delivered to attach the arms to the motor this week

Also the motor shield pictured is not the motomonster. I made the mistake of buying a lower ampage shield and it is being replaced.

Also the motors are mounted to the white board to make it easier to place on my table for testing and is not going to be the final mounting spot

Feel free to comment and let me know what you think so far and ways I could improve.

I'll post more updates as the build progresses. Cheers guys. I wouldn't have been able to do this without the brains of this community

Thanks for sharing your project update :thumbs

Do test the MMs when they arrive, as some have been faulty: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/monster-moto-testing-before-use.158/

What you could with your harness is to use elastic bungie cords or springs to mount the shoulder straps to the base board, rather than the frame. That way the motion of the rig will parasitically give motion derived sensation, such as loosening the harness under acceleration and tightening it with the likes of braking.

I have now received and soldered my moto monster to the board. I still have to fix my pots to the motor and add my tie rods but... We have movement!!! Soooo exciting

It is both exciting and a relief when you get your rig moving for the first time :thumbs

Have you got some updated photos or a video of yor rig in action yet? If not then please post some when you get the time.

I have an MP4 video I tried to upload but it failed. Is there a certain format of video to upload?

Her is a video of my first test of the moto monster. The pots were earthing together on the brackets and is working as expected now. Also I've included a video of the chair after the uni joint was installed
