    Like I said I have theories that must still be tested .The bike sim is still unexplored and a lot of experimentation will go into getting the correct (simulated) feel .
    I saw a short video clip once with a traffic test simulation for a motorbike that looked quite convincing. It seem to be running it's wheels on a treadmill type of structure
    (seperate front and back) with side movement like traction loss ,but no springs could be seen for the side lean.
    Note I couldn't find this clip again and this was like 3 years back, but the ideas stuck.

    I think the thiong about bike games is that there have never been as many as car games but there are a couple of amazing Moto GP games out there.
    I've decided that my plan is going to be: 1. make a base capable of holding the mechanism for self-righting the bike frame. 2. make a seat mover that mounts on top of the base.

    So the system will be modular. I think it would be difficult to just have a dedicated bike sim. I'd always have a hankering to play car racing games from time to time.

    Your Manx TT idea was the closest to the Superbike simulator I built a few years ago. I ended up building 4 of these;

    looks real good @AlBuw

    I think a motorbike simulator or similar could be achievable but perhaps only as a surge/traction loss sort of system due to leaning out etc putting balance point way off.

    Some really clever people out there tho so I would love to see me proved wrong!!

    That's awesome. I'd love to see some more details. I think we might be needing your expertise to help out at some stage.

    Not a problem. I'd be more than happy to help. Like i said, the first was built for me, by me. A simulator hire company bought it after they found my design to be much more realistic than there own.

    I used to ride Superbikes on track so I knew how it should feel.

    The final products were much more refined as they were used for hire to the public.

    GP bikes was and still is a fantastic platform, although the latest MotoGP series worked well.

    I know this is a bump on an old topic.. But I would be VERY interested in motorcycle controls for my simulator... I love the MXBikes game.. along with a couple of others... I know Thrushmaster once make a PC control setup, but it was short lived .. I have thought about getting an old MX bike, cutting up the frame, and using just the tank, bars, seat, shrouds .. and mounting that into a 2or3 DOM setup.. I think it would be a lot of fun... But also a lot of work.. I think with the Oculus DK2 & a nice MX sim, you would have a sweet setup !!
