Just so you know @Marki has not been active since late 2021, so you likely won't get a response for a while.

@Marki does list the hardware used in his particular project in his first post.

Another option is the use the 'Enhanced by Google' search box on the Recent page to find projects you may be interested in, you can filter by date to find the most recent and active projects similar to what you would like to build.

Hello again! here is some news after 1500 hours on the simulator, the 2000lbs winch motors are dead, the planetary gear (aluminum) is completely worn out, it caused me jams and the 50amp fuses were blowing upload_2024-8-30_16-3-8.png
I had to replace the electric motors with 3000lbs 1.3HP motors with a slower gear ratio 171:1. the movement is smoother and more precise upload_2024-8-30_16-3-40.png upload_2024-8-30_16-4-5.png

I suggest you use an electric motor similar to the photo and on the contrary the electric motor is probably what costs the least, I paid $180 CND. each .

Hi Marki, have been looking around for someone that has used these type of winches for this very purpose! Glad to see it is not only possible but working so well.

I am looking to start the process of gathering the required parts/components but before I do, did you happen to upload the files for the Lasercut parts needed for this winch? Also how did you attach the arms to the winch reel?
