Hey, this is the almost done man-eating flower robot project that I'm involved with for some time now. One side effect of the programming I did to it yesterday was that it walks too!

That thing is funny - eat or be eaten :D Is it remote controlled or are there any sensors in it? It is not autonomic walking, isnt´it?

    Kind regards, René

    Hi Rene,

No, it NOT remote controlled!!!! :uups: Its an autonomous intelligent robot with mind of its own! It was not supposed to be walking, but it learned to do it, on its own!!!! I guess that was too hungry to wait us to feed it!

Its all controlled by a ATmega8535 microcontroller with a board almost similar to my AMC!! It has seven servos, one big servo on the base and six very small servos on the flower petals to make them close. Also it has tiny IR distance sensors for tracking the victims and swallow them if close enough!! I will also add to it photo sensors to automatically close the petals and enter sleep mode when its dark.
Its currently powered by wall ac transformer, but probably we will put some batteries in the flowerpot for the event.

The tricky part was to program the servo motion of its petals to accurately close them altogether in pattern. I took several hours of programming and testing!!!
