    Si può sapere almeno che tipo di motore usate in modo da capire se l'elettronica che abbiamo è sufficente. Purtroppo io ho una sabertooth 2 x 12 e se devo cambiarla mi porterei avanti con il lavoro:confused:

    You may know at least what kind of engine used in order to understand if the electronics we have is sufficient. Unfortunately I have a sabertooth 2 x 12 and if I have to change it would bring me forward with the work :confused:

    we are going to use 12v 200 watt big worm gear motors and Pololu JRK on these.
    You can use any motor, but a big worm gear motor is recommended and you can use any electronics on them
    http://bffsimulation.com/linear-act.php he uses a 24v motor, however a 12v motor will do just fine.

    So a novice understands, what exactly is a big worm gear motor? A motor with a big worm gear on it? My worm gear motors are 825 watts. 200 watt motors are relatively small in comparison so I assume you mean its has oversized gearing for its rated power?

    il progetto e la scelta delle dimensioni e delle potenze sono a discrezione di chi lo costruisce.
    Ciò che conta è che il progetto sia ben fatto, poi permette con minime modifiche di installare qualsiasi motore.
    Ad esempio si potrebbero istallare i motori degli argani che privati del loro riduttore non sono più rumorosi poi si deve trovare il giusto rapporto tra velocità e potenza. L' unica cosa molto difficile da trovare (almeno qui in itala) sembrano essere le boccole a sfera. Per il resto mi sembra un progetto realizzabilissimo con la giusta pazienza

The only thing very hard to find (at least here in Italy) seem to be ball bushings. For the rest it seems a feasible project with the right patience

    Hey billo take a look at my post, i'm building some similar to that one without strings. Look at the items and parts i'll use.

    I'll use a pololu 12v12 dual motor driver to power a 23A constant motor. the pololu is capable of power 1 motor at 12v 24A constant and its rated without a heatsink. I'll have heatsinks and fans directly to it. This is another posibility. but i need an ard too

    A possible advice, for me, its easier to think in Amps, instead of Watts. it is easier to fit and compare specs from various items using Amperes.

    I feel like ballscrews have become so cheap, everybody can get in on it... 40$ for a complete screw rm1610-70cm long...
