Just another 3DOF project

    Hi guys!
    I'm starting a 4 actuator 3DOF build. The rig frame is shipping from Simgrade these days, as are the peripherals except the gearbox which I plan to build myself from the SRT gearbox project (Lebois racing).

    However I have a few questions now that I'm ordering the parts for the actuators.

    I want to use the Thanos controller, so the SRT100/150 with stepper motors is out of the loop and the SFX route is where I'm heading.

    I want to use black aluminium extrusion profiles, and I want 150 mm travel.

    - Can I use the 300mm black profiles from Component Explorers with the existing 3d files?
    - Do I have to change any other parts exept the mechanical kit?

    Things are starting to arrive from all around the world now. Got the Thanos yesterday, and I expect a sweet delivery from Simgrade today. The 3d printer is also plugging along nicely, I have the motor mounts and the sliders left before I start the gearbox.

    My planned setup will look something like this:
    VR
    5900x/3080ti pc
    Simgrade Elite black rig
    4 OpenSFX150 actuators
    Thanos controller
    Simgrade R7 pedals
    Heusinkveld handbrake
    Lebois SRT Gearbox
    Simucube Pro

    My better half kicked my project out of the house, so I'm going to make a dedicated h̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶i̶c̶e̶ garage in a shed outside. I'll wire up a separate 16 amp connection, and with it's own earthing electrode.

    Before I do any of that though I have to insulate the shed so I don't freeze to death and also figure out what to use for materials the floor and walls.
