The jury in the dispute over core Oculus VR technology has awarded ZeniMax $500 million, primarily because "Oculus co-founder Palmer Luckey failed to comply with a non-disclosure agreement he signed, as did Oculus by extension. Oculus and its co-founders Luckey and Iribe were found to owe ZeniMax $500 million as a result of copyright infringement and false designation": http://uploadvr.com/verdict-zenimax-oculus/

The breakdown is $300 Million against Oculus, $150 Million against Brendan Iribe, founder and former Oculus CEO, now head of Oculus PC VR, and $50 Million against Palmer Luckey. Facebook itself was cleared of all claims. John Carmack was found liable for conversion but no amount was stated.

But both companies have deep pockets so it is a long way from over, Oculus vows to appeal and ZeniMax is threatening an injunction.
