    Hi All

Thinking of buying a HTC Vive Cosmos but not sure how to tackle the question of motion cancelling with the inside out tracking using the cameras?
    Anyone have any thoughts?

As it just came out nobody has any real experience with the Cosmos.

Out of curiosity what aspects of the Cosmos interest you, given its cost and low light issues?

    Hi Noorbeast,
Thoughts were the inside out tracking more useful for other games seperate from the motion sim and the posibilty of a light emitting gloves as per the controllers. I wasn't aware of the light issue

Personally I don't think the Cosmos is a great allrounder, the Rift S is cheaper and has inside out tracking, the Oculus Quest gets a link cable shortly which will allow it to play PC games (albeit via compressed transfer) and it gets hand tracking next year, the Index is about the best of current all round PCVR HMDs, the Reverb screen clarity is great for seated sims but the controller tracking is iffy for general use, and I consider the Pimax + DAS is pretty good on a sim rig where the increased FOV and clarity really help, and where you are basically configuring and tweaking it for a limited number of games. But in my view the Pimax is a pain for general VR gaming, where you are constantly chopping and changing and perhaps even switching users, as it is far too finicky setup wise.

I upgraded my Vive to a Cosmos purely because I hated having the base stations and having to set them up each time I wanted to use the headset.

I haven't used the Cosmos as much yet, but so far from what I've noticed, it's an improvement from my previous Vive.
When I get a change to do some proper testing with it I'll come back and post my findings :)

Hi Spiros K, i'm very interested in what you find, what sort of motion platform do you run?
