Funny but that’s what I started looking at this morning. I was looking at the GS-4 but then found that it was bought out and discontinued by another company. I guess the GS-5 was just demo’ed a few months ago but looking at the prices of their other stuff it will be grossly overpriced.
I have the 4 motors and electronics that I was going to use for a motion sim still. They might be overkill for a g-seat though.
I just got a Next Level F1-GT rig last week for free. It has a very solid sheet metal seat that would make a great base for a g-seat.
Who has the best write up for the g-seat? Most of the links I am finding are broken or missing the build pictures.
    Thanks.

    My Motion Simulator:
    AC motor, 6DOF
    I am running a Samsung Odyssey with a 2dof rig and a diy g-seat .
I am very happy with the results.
    I also have a Rift.
The Odyssey is awesome. The Rift stays in a box.

Not to be silly, but just to put a another rabbit hole for anyone that wants to jump it...Especially if you want to use it for development purposes or entertainment outside of sim racing. You can use other hardware with htc/windows/facebook/cardboard vr products.
Some examples, including and not limited to, and in random order:
    vicovr
    optitrack
    realsense
    kinect
    perception neuron
basic webcam with bespoke software...for example, tracking real world moving objects while in VR, and having them represented in game whether via alpha channel, skinning/texture or a big fat "WARNING" ;)

This is an entirely different world of getting into vr and the products above vary widely in their native support, ease of implementation, etc. Not sure if people were aware of it...maybe will create a new thread in the VR sub forum "VR tracking hardware" don't know...take care!
