    Hi,
I'm Zhi Qiao, and I want to DIY cockpit for FSX. I saw this one from other website. Look at the several instruments on the left, it's obviously that they are just transferred out from FSX, and not rebuilt by other softwares such as LABVIEW. Is there anyone who knows how to realize these instruments as following? upload_2013-10-2_10-12-47.png

There is a LCD monitor behind the fascia panel. From memory. Sorry dont remember links.
Real guages are achievable via a Microcontroller too just a lot trickier.

Think the info is here mate. http://www.jimspage.co.nz/motion.htm

As Eaorobbie mentions, that is a monitor behind a panel with the instruments separated by coordinates.

There are several ways to accomplish that, one is by the use of a program called "MaxiVista" and the other called "FSX Spy". Those are only two that I know of but there are dozens of others.

Check this link for more information; Baldrick tests out both programs and shares his findings in extracting gauges from the FSX Superbug in building his F-18C cockpit.

    Hi

Search on youtube for a video called "FS Studio Panel Tutorial". It will help.

    Hi,
I know that FSX Spy is a good tool for this, but I can not find it through many websites. Could you offer me a website for downloading?

There should be a link in the forum threads that I posted. Let me check over there, if not I will ask for a link.

    Edit: Found the link.

The page is a little messed up but if you look at the blue text the program download is there as well as setup manuals, etc. This is the work of one dedicated guy, he deserves a round of thanks if it works for you.

Thanks for your response. In fact what I want to achieve is like this: , I learned a software, FS Studio Panel, but I still have a question: If just transferred the instruments out from computer, do I need to adjust the screen display space each time for flight? It's troublesome. And, I can not find a website for free downloading FS Studio Panel, do you know such websites?

This is a paid software mate.
    http://www.fspanelstudio.com/buy.htm

If you are going to use it a lot and need support, then buy it from them at $30 its a small price to pay and makes getting support directly from them a lot easier and faster.

And in this way If I transferred the instruments out from FS Studio Panel to a single LCD, do I need to adjust the screen display space each time?

Are you sure FS Studio Panel can achieve the instruments in this vedio【 】?

I have not personally used this software only.
I prefer building my own but have only done race stuff, Sorry.

    An other variation is this:

The values of the pointer position are selected from FSUIPC.
If you with Servos work you need a Servocontroller. If you work with Steppermotoren, you need an Arduino Board.

    Very nice, indeed.

Servo's are an easier way to setup , yours look rather technical and works well.

Recently helped a fellow member (Itman), to take a Porsche dash , which used steppers to drive 6 analog gauges and had 11 signal lights all handled by one Ard in Sim Tools. I did part of the coding for the app to send information to them and gave a basic shell to receive the commands with the Ard, he did the grunt work of building circuits and working out what was needed electronic wise and how to drive them with the values coming into the Ard. Looked very good in Rfactor.

I too want to go down that path for a racing dashboard when I have time.Too many side projects.
Still can't decide myself to drive them with steppers or RC Servo's. If I was thinking cost, servos win hands down.

Sweet gauges, love it from a pilots point of view, cant beat live gauges.
I miss my Ultra Light, badly.
