    Hi all,

    I have tested my newly constructed rig with LFS and everything responds as expected, bumps and crashes are very well reproduced, but acceleration/deceleration as well as lateral forces during turns are too weak: I would like them to be much more pronounced, right now they are almost negligible. Is there a way to selectively emphasize acceleration and breaking and lateral forces during bends?

    Thanks!

    I have had a look at your link, so many things to learn!

    Only I do not understand: can I mix for example surge and pitch on the same axis? I just cannot figure out how to do it... I have tried:

    [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>]
    works all right but I have to choose surge-sway OR pitch-roll;

    [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][A<Axis3a>][B<Axis4a>]
    Only Axis3a and Axis4a respond;

    [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis1a>][D<Axis2a>]
    Only Axis1a and Axis2a respond;

    [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>][D<Axis4a>]
    Only Axis1a and Axis2a respond.

    I am a bit lost...

    You do not mess with the Interface Settings, as that just defines how each axis communicates with your hardware.

    Rather, how much of each axis to use for each DOF is done in Axis Assignments, where currently you only have pitch and roll set:

    Agreed, but can I add surge and sway to respectively pitch and roll? And how, since axes 1a and 2a are already taken?

    Thanks, that worked!In fact, I might have found a bug in SimTools: if in "Axis Assignments" I select "Live for Speed" in the Game list and I setup all parameters I want, if I go to "Output Testing" it seems I can only test the default game profile, and in fact if I go back to Axis Assignment, Live for speed is not the game selected in the game list, but default is. Do you confirm?

    Output testing only works with the Default profile, that is not a bug but rather intended outcome.

    I see. Well, I would suggest considering adding the option to test profiles as well as default...

    I have reviewed my system and now it works much better, the only thing which seems to be missing are forces upon impact. I mean that when I crash head on against the barrier, I feel the wheel shaking but nothing on the seat, as if an impact did not generate any data for the simulator. Is it normal?

    In most games impacts can produce telemetry and hence movement.

    I forgot to mention I tested it on live for speed... Apparently no impact there?...

    Can you please post pictures of all your current settings, including the Tuning Center while LFS is running in game.

    Just a suggestion, don't use filters until all other settings are fully refined, as it will likely only confuse the refinement process.

    The Tuning Center values look to be too large, particularly with the likes of Heave. Heave likely only needs around 10 for Axis Assignment and 1 or even below for the Tuning Center.

    Also use the same Max and Min values in the Tuning Center except for surge, where having different values can be used to simulate gearshifts: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/snappy-gear-change-motion.121/

    This is just a guess, try starting at 10 in the Tuning Center for roll, sway and pitch, then refine each one by one from there. Surge is likely much lower than that.
