    Hi

Think I got the whole thing working now - I think/hope.

I changed one of the IRFZ44 MOSFET which seemed to be burned.

An additional video that shows the motors working properly, would be nice.

    Hi..

It doesn't work properly though. It has no torque or speed.

But I tried testing it like Thanos said:

    1. Connect the PWM1 line to +5v
    2. Connect the M1IN1 to +5v and M1IN2 to Gnd, to see the motor rotate in one direction.
    3. Disconnect the M1IN1 from the +5v
    4. Connect the M1IN2 to +5v and M1IN1 to Gnd, to see the motor rotate to the other direction.

You can perform the above test with no motors mounted, and just watch the status LEDS light one at a time.
And you can try it on the second half of the DSMhb1.2 by using the rest of the ports (PWM2, M2IN1, M2IN2)
The 74HC08 chip is powered from the signal cable (from AMC1.5 for example), not from the motor power source!!!! To be able to do the above tests you need to feed it with +5v also!!!

It workes fine both ways until one of my mosfets xploded and bursted into flames with a bang.. I'll put in a new..

So maybe it's my AVR controller that doesn't give the right signal to the H-bridge.

You did that tests with a motor connected???? Wow!!

This test is meant to be done with motor unconnected, just to observe the status leds turning on-off ok... The 100% switch ON of the motor may cause very large peak current to the motor even unloaded...!!

    Hi

Hehe.. ya.. I did it with both motors connected - both ways. I only did it a short while. But as you can see - one of the mosfets xploded :)
But now i know the H-bridge works...

And now you see how much power is in there. Next time i wanna see a video of your exploding mfets :D

Keep the good work going on.
