Hello from Cornwall, England. I had already started my build before i found this amazing forum, first error!

I am trying to make my build as easy as possible. I am not anywhere near the skill level of the majority of people on here. With this in mind i have tried to purchase stuff with a view to being as close to plug n play as i can possibly get. My build will no doubt be a LOT more expensive than getting a 3d printer etc.

After a bit of research i decided to buy my actuators from PT-Actuators in China, prices obviously vary because of exchange rates so i tried to maximize this by following the rates over a few months and looking at previous exchange rates. The communication from Shao was excellent and made the purchase a lot easier than i expected. Delivery of the product took approx 3 weeks to get to the UK.

At the same time I was checking the Race Department forums and found Thanos! Another very helpful individual who I have now purchased a AMC-MDBox from.

I purchased an aluminium rig from Sim Race Components, i now see i could have made something very similar myself, but again i picked the easier option. The Wheel, pedals and VR i have had for some time now and will go into more details on this stuff in my build thread. First question, is this the right place of the forum for a build thread?

From the start i have been taking photos and will be good to share them with you all. I am very restricted on space, no garage or workshop, so things have been a little tricky at times. Decided to convert my music studio into the sim room, well there was nowhere else! At least it is already sound proofed for the neighbours sanity.
