    About your intention to make the platform moveable:
    Considering the weight of the entire cockpit, what about changing your pilot chair into a G-Seat instead? You will find several examples in this forum.

    I try to build a real cockpit! Then the cockpit is moving and not only the chair.;)
    3, 4 cm. up or down is enough.

    Agree, unfortunately a 120W motor would still be too small for many G-seat functions.
