    Hi

Your frame looks great! Let's try to get it into movement.

I dont have a ready to use profile. We have to config it together, when you have connected your valves to the interface and the cylinders.

You should attach some pots anyway. I think it wont work well without positioning.

    Hey

I will get the pots on monday so I will continune with them there. But if I should use the pots it should be closed valves, right? (I have both)

And I should connect the valves, cylinders and pots like this, right?

valves middle open work as well. Its just because of, when you dont have pots, the software doesnt know when your cylinders do reach the end positions.

Okay. Does that mean that I latter on can make a 3 speed system with 4 valves(with the 4 valves I already have 2 with open middle and 2 with closed)???

No, either middle closed or open.

If I was you, I'd try to swap the middle open ones.

when I start 3D simulator SimforceGT with the profiler the seat just turns around and around and so on. Its the same with the the 2 cylinders behind the seat they just go round. If I move the joystick I can chance the direcktion.
and the 2 cylinders are not mounted on the bag of the seat. They just rotate in difference direktions..

    Hope thats better..

Yes, it needs a lot of work, still ;)

Have you wired your setup already?

I am wiring it now but still waiting for my seat..

If I mount a 75mm 10K sliderpot and only use maybe 60mm of it, will that work. Can I adjust that in the software.

while making a calibration run, the coils drive to both end positions. Then, the according pot values will be saved as calibrated values.

So there should be no bigger problem with unsing longer pots. Though it would be more precise, if the whole distance would be used (higher resolution). Theoretically. Dont know if it is noticalble at all.

Afaik, until now, nobody used 10K pots. Good luck ;)

okay.. if I understand it right you have to remove the IC3 and solded the x and y connections on istead. ( and not mount the IC3 again)

    Is that right?

You have to remove the op-amp (IC1) permanently.

Besides that, the x and y connections have to be soldered to the PIC (IC3). For safety purposes it is recommended, to take out the IC3 as well, while soldering. But the IC3 has to be remounted after the solder job (watch out for the right mounting direction).

If you are afraid of soldering, you have to find another way, to connect the pot wires ;)

But do not solder the wires to the socket. Solder them to the backside of the PCB directly on the solder spots. You could fix them after with some (just a little) hot glue. And you should use a very small soldering iron!

    Hey

I should be ready to test the chair tomorrow, but I am not totaly sure about how to setup the ventil matrix.. and how to make sure the pots are working fine..

Can I use the matrix sample 4 Festo single speed ?

    I will be using 2 valves (5/3 Closed) and 2 10k pots.
(but I have ordered 2 more valves for the 3 speed system, but thats in the future)

And shall I use the logitech Momo Race joystick for calibration or a normal joystick. (I have both)

    Hi

With this additional information I can give you an answer.

Yes, with 2x Festo middle closed you should use the Festo excample Setup in the valve matrix.

It does not make a difference with input device you use, because I think you dont want to use the jostick mode anyway.

I propose you to use LFS with the outgauge plugin for your first attempts, instead of using Yoda.

Hmm, I had not in mind, that you are going to use a frex style setup. Therfor the festo setup in the valve matrix cannot be used, as it is for RnRs. Sorry.

You need a new movement profile. Perhaps illi could help you. I'll ask him...

The LFS demo works as well ;)

BTW, you could post some latest pics of your sim. Have you already mounted the racing seat?
