I think I got the hand of it. Just having some issue to get Sway from SRV as there are not really any left / right thrusters and it's kinda hard to identify the Address when you cant produce a proper Sway with the SRV. If you have any tips on that that would be cool. Unless you are doing trial and error like me lol.

Trial end error and picking a value that looks right, that's how I did it for the SRV.

Haha, that's what I feared, at least I know I didn't wasted many hours for nothing.
Anyway for the next update of Elite, I should be able to help you out on the pointers. I can get the Ship one fairly fast. (I hope).

It is easy to get ship pointers but it's how to get them so it doesn't drop out in stations and when you dropping out of cruise, also so if it still works when your in super cruise(PITCH/ROll) , if you have that you've nailed it :) well done

Took me nearly 2 years to figure that out :grin

    Hello guys,
ED has been updated today so we are without motion again. A sad day!. Here's hoping the gurus can pull a new plugin together .... the last one's worked really well.

@Wagnard and/or @SilentChill - if you have a go at pointer finding - any chance of a vid to show how. been asking for some help on pointer finding for ED for a while now. Help share the workload and knowledge-base.

I have started working on this.
I will concentrate mostly on Ship support. If all goes well, I'll do SRV too.
First official try tho, don';t be too hard on me ;P

Edit: Ok I think I got the Ship done. Tell me if it works OK for you guys.
Edit2: Removed, not working on all computers.
Edit3: New ship pointer (Finger crossed), no SRV yet. Let me know if it's working right.
Edit4: More precise Ship pointer, Pitch & Roll for SRV. Let me know if it's working right.
Edit5: Updated SRV (Pitch/Roll) pointers to be more precise (I hope)

Hello, thankyou for doing this I will try the pointers later when I get hoke and report back.

    Thanks again.

P.s I upgraded from i7 2700k to i9 9900k and difference in FPS is staggering.
I was getting judder in Res sites and some station interiors so less then 45 FPS no matter what settings I had. Now it's 90 in the same places except inside some stations where I hit asw but that is fine.
Largly I have gained at least 50 % FPS and some cases 100% gain (Res sites ) it is night and day difference. With 1080ti and rift. Also less artifacts in asw now hardly noticed it

    Hi guys
the run counter on my rig says 498mins. Ive been running @Wagnard plugins all that time - all worked ok. On his latest plugin now. It works great for the ship in main game and especially in cqc (really good in fact in cqc).

The srv tho - I have no motion. In simtools tuning center I see the extra1 and extra 2 game data which matches my srv moves ok. But in game engine (output testing) 'extra1 and extra2' are replaced with 'true' labels instead and do show motion on the sliders fine. All min/maxes are in place and good. But no motion is output for the two srv moves. Shouldn't game engine list extra1 and 2 not true labels for each. Otherwise - happy here (but would like a still appreciate a guide to the process)
    thanks for the work @Wagnard

    Hi Guys,

At me it doesn't work, no movements with that new plugin. I patched and rewrite the xml, but no movements, no values at tuning center.

    Cheers,
    George

Added the other SRV motions. (Finger crossed)
@kev b I can see the true thing too, I'll check.

Edit found the issue possibly, I need to update the plugin. I used a deeper Pointer offset(in the XML) not supported by it.
    Will update soon.

still a great job @Wagnard - pretty well 'turned around' within an hour of ED update (it even survived the ED server update later)

@George Dobransky If you want me to teamviewer and check some value coming from elite
Here is the fix for the "True" issue. It required a plugin update. The plugin also include the latest XML. the max/min file is extremely basic so you guys must configure it to your taste.

@Wagnard - you've cracked it my friend!. Just tried the latest plugin+xml and the srv is awesome!. Took one for a 10 minute drive in the demo. Really good. Ship works great already so I'm off for some more cqc before I call it a day. Got lectures all day tomorrow so gotta prep up... thanks again

lol - I just put my missus and my 23yr old daughter in the simulator for the SRV demo (6dof). I set the srv heading flat-out down the bumpy terrain mountainside. They both screamed, my daughter said it was ace and missus has stopped speaking to me!
