    There is a file found here:
    C:\Users\(YOUR USER FOLDER)\AppData\Local\SimTools\GamePlugins\EliteDangerous64_Offsets.xml

    It holds the offsets for the game and they just need to be updated with working offsets is all.
    If someone does this the file can be shared for all to use!

    Ah ok thanks for the info but It looks fairly complex... im kind of new to the whole sim scene (only had my rig a couple of days) has anyone elese done it that could maybe help me or share their settings?
    Id be happy with just the joystick plugin tbh but even that makes my rig lop sided with my t1600 hotas :(

    As you were previously advised constant game update break the plugin because the pointers change, which are like unique key indicators in the game code that can be used as motion data.

    So a new aproach has been developed, where instead of relying on updating the plugin anyone can find the new pointers and feed them to the plugin.     i would invest time to do it, but i didnt understand well enough how this works for "surge", "sway" and "heave".
    @value1 explainted something for "surge" here:

    but not for sway and heave. also its unclear whether this is still the process for surge , sway and heave.
    or will it the same as for roll , pitch and yaw in the meantime ?

    also in the thread above @value1 talked about a calculation is needed like
    sx = Sx · fx + Sy · fy + Sz ·fz
    sy = Sx · rx + Sy · fy + Sz ·rz
    sz = Sx · ux + Sy · uy + Sz ·uz

    dont know whether this is still right ?

    totally confused, sorry guys. the introduction is not clear anough for me.
    i guess i can make it for roll pitch and yaw, but for the rest, is still unclear how i can get this numbers.

    Looks like very few use this game with simulators or there would have been requests for a working XML file to be loaded here.

    The last XML uploaded allows only the Roll to work.

    Can anyone make a video on this stuff?

    Hi guys.
    The new .XML feature will save the extra work of recompiling new plugin each time. I quickly popped the pitch data provided by @pierre (above) into the .XML and gave it a whirl. Pitch is working fine (in tutorial demo but moves by itself in station) on my newly built 6dof rig which I finished last week. I'm also the guy that took my 3DOF chair to the Elite Community Meet in Wokingham back in May and gave the devs a written list of our exact reqs (as specified by guru's on this forum) for motion API. Nothing has ever come of that so I'm of the conclusion that API data is simply not gonna happen anytime soon so its either 'joystick plugin' or updating the elite plugin each and every time ED updates - as happens at the moment.
    Now here is the cruncher.
    Only a few folks herein have knowledge and experience of working through cheatengine (CE) looking for the necessary data needed for ED. This takes time so it doesn't always happen quick enough for the 'masses'. Others don't have the skills to even begin trying this. I suspect though that a fair few of us have the ability (and in some cases - lots of spare time, this includes me) to do the ED data search and testing and be able to post the .XML info here for others to use.
    I'm keen to do it (as are others) but find the lack of specific ED process frustrating, despite the links provided herein. I've watched the tutorial vids but they cover the vast functions of CE which isn't what 'we' really need (that would likely be learned over time and use if really required). What I really need (and I suspect others here do too) is a specific guide how to find the data for ED with CE if someone is prepared to provide one.
    The guide from @value1 (appreciated) tells us 'what' but not 'how'. I tried CE again earlier - got 100million memory locations for a definite value of 1.77 whilst trying to toggle from ED to CE before the scan finished ? was hoping to get the same data @pierre found but way off the mark. Can honestly say I couldn't see what I was actually looking for. Gave up again. I can throw electronics and mcu's together but for this 'motion data' task I just don't have the learning materials I need. I'm sure if @pierre was kind enough to share 'how' he found the yaw data that would be a great start but we will need more specific guidance from those in the know to get the other (matrices derived) positions. We simply don't have the knowledge or experience and need something specific and guiding for ED so we can get autonomous and share.
    I'll end by saying a great thank you to @SilentChill and @value1 et al for providing info and plugins in the past. Ive built 5 rigs for ED with their inspiration.
