    Hello :)

I found this platform on eBay.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Simulator-Motion-Plattform-Flugsimulator-/143014204005

Since I'm an absolute novice on the subject I wanted to ask what you think about it. is it possible to change the software? As I have seen, I did not use the software for X Plane or was using Thunder. I just want to fix a chair on the platform as I'm just flying in VR. It would be nice if you could say something about it.

    Thanks and greetings Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,
I just clicked on your ebay link and saw that the article is not available anymore. So did you buy it?
It seemed to be a very solid build.

    hello Markus,
thanks for your message. no the platform is not sold. the seller would sell me the substructure for 540 euros. my problem is just that the software that is in there does not support x plane 11 so my question is if i can control that via software changes. otherwise I would buy the platform directly.

    Hi Sebastian,

the ebay description says that two SaberTooth 2x25 controlers are part of the platform. The forum member @Deane had some issues with these controllers recently, but as far as I remember, these issues could be solved with the help of @BlazinH. @Deane, @BlazinH: Is this correct?

About XPlane 11: There is a SimTools plugin for an older version of XPlane, but there is also a tutorial that explains how to make it work with XPlane 11: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/diy-2dof-budget-build.12377/page-6
Thus, you should be able to get XPlane 11 working together with SimTools.

Edit: Please note that this will not be a plug & play thing. You will have to to some wiring, load some code onto Arduino boards, etc. But as I said, the build looks quite solid to me and will make it a lot easier for you than starting from scratch.

The main problem with the Sabertooth 2X25 is only the baud rate limit of 38400 and the other was my own noob ignorance but I learned with help from the members on here.
In general they are good value for money but go for 2X32 version for less hassles. :thumbs
