If all my single phase VFD are wired to their 3 phase motor - and each motor is grounded to the metal base frame it sits on, does it make any sort of ground loop because they are all grounded to the same object?

Only if your frame was connected to another ground sink.

Cool, thanks. Does each VFD need its own EMI filter, do you know? One for each VFD located immediately before the drive or can they all share one that feeds to a distribution point?
