Do not confuse throttle and brake!

He bought a 100 000$ car but lives in a corrugated cardboard house... and ruined both

It’s actually a very common accident. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there are approximately 16,000 crashes occurring each year in the US due to drivers mistaking the accelerator for the brake pedal.

Since Tesla’s vehicles are all equipped with sensors and controls to autonomously accelerate, decelerate and steer, it’s definitely easier to jump to the conclusion that the vehicle acted on its own than to admit you pressed the wrong pedal.
