Dk2 setupsetup

Hi all i have sent a member my dk2 but he is struggling to get it to work.
Could this still be the way to install.

Any help would be great to help him out.
He will introduce himself on this thread soon and all that as he is a friend.
And he loves flight sims.
So if anyone can help him with the vr flight sim world that be ace.

I can't read that setup info as its too small but after i had set all the hardware up i just went to the Oculus site ,after i had created an account and signed in i clicked on rift and it detected my DK2 and it went through its motion of installing all the drivers for me ,,,after it finished it had also downloaded and installed the oculus home for me where i just did the calibration where you skip the part with the camera and job done ,,,
After that the orange light on my dk2 had turned green and i was up and running ,,,

Is he plugging the dk2 + camera into the usb 3.0 ports on his PC,,,?

After my dk2 was setup in oculus home i opened Steam ,, downloaded steam VR and was good to go...

i can't leave any links as im not on my gaming PC right now..

Oh and after i did all that i did go onto the oculus site and download the oculus sdk 1.13 ,,,i think 1.14 is out now but i just downloaded it so i could use the oculus debug tool for supersampling.

brilliant will get him to try that ok.
think i told him wrong and he just downloaded the oculus home.
it is working but flickering.
he has tried it in both the usb2 and 3 but like i said to him its very sensitive to usb and keep swopping around in the pc and check for new drivers ect...

if you do happen to go on the pc could you kindly post the links, it would be a great help tbh for him he is still learning this side of things and all that and its hard at the start as you know.

ps you running ok in usb3 with dk2 or is it usb2 onlt to try as best option.

yep before i went to the oculus site my dk2 was doing some usb glitching too.

USB3.0 ,,,, i'll be back home tomorrow lunch time so i'll jump on my PC and find you some links then dude .

Ok cool in the mean time he is starting from scratch now and following your way this time ok.
At least he has an idea what he is doing and the install stuff.

No probs dude ,,, after he install's the drivers through the oculus site that should sort out his USB problem,,,,
i noticed the same the first time i plugged my dk2 & camera in to my PC and instantly thought oh crap i hope that isn't going to be a nightmare ,,,, anyway all was cool once drivers got installed.

Oh and VR is the Bomb Haha,,,, Mind Blown

Tell him to download the Showdown demo ,,Lucky's Tail & Face your Fears
from the oculus store when he gets it set up.

exact same ones i was gunna choose as they just awesome.
