    Hi every one !

First of all, I'm a new member, but I haven't seen anywhere to post a presentation post as it's usually asked in forums.
Should I do it here or is there another section to do it ?

I took some time during our lockdown to start my new sim frame !
The plan was to do a 2dof seat mover, to use simucube for the wheel and pedals, and basically try to do every thing by myself ! Especially the pedals :)

So first of all for the seat mover, nothing you haven't seen already ! pretty standard regarding the design. I have used some 350w motors and a sabertooth 2x32. And quite obviously my plan is to use simtools !
I have chosen the seat mover instead of a complete frame mover because I'm using VR headset, and it seems more natural to me.

I still have to wire everything and attached the seat belts.
I left the sliders under the whole system so that the center of gravity won't be affected by the seat position. I just hope that it won't create some play after some time !

For the steering wheel I'm using a simucube 1 with a ioni pro, a 600W 36V power supply and a Hirden engine from China (very similar to the famous Mige).

About the Pedals, I designed them to be mounted upside/down, I don't know the right terms for that, sorry.
So obviously it's not as sexy as some commercial pedal boxes, but it's homemade and it works ! with simucube it's very easy to setup as everything is directly connected to the same board.

I took the following sensors (from my work) : http://www.vishay.com/sensors/list/product-57115/

For the brake pedal I took a rear-brake master cylinder from a bike, and implemented a 250 bar pressure sensor. Samething, as it's plugged directly on the simucube it's very easy to setup !
So far so good, but the real test will be in games !!
I still have the foot rest to create.

I put all the electronic components in a huge PC case…. not optimized but I don't want to order anything like this during the lockdown.

Still quite rough, it still needs a lot of love :D but the whole project is going quite smoothly up to now !
I still have to do a H-shifter support, modify my wheels to add some palets and buttons, attach seat belt, do some cable managment… understand the software….

But at least now I have somewhere to post my updates and get your advice !

    Chears,

    Hi all.

Quick update on the gobal rig :

    - I had to strenghen the rig because it was flexing quite a bit, and I didn't want to lose any effects…. And my 2DOF isn't even working yet !

    - don't use "chinese" brake master cylinder… mine was already here so I tried to use it, but it last 1 sessions only, and the internal sealing broke. I switched to a nissin one I took from my former CBR and it works like a charm. I also added some flexible material between the brake pads and the feeling is very good.

The 2DOF is still OFF but I had the chance to test the direct drive wheel, and it's soooo good. I couldn't go back to my old CSR wheel.

    Chears !
