And now to turn 2 DOF into 3 DOF . I have decided keep it simple is the way to go . Multiple castors to spread the load and a simple arm attached to the base with the motor swinging it back and forth. I will post pictures as I progress 20240430_131050.jpg

The next step in the conversion . I used 8 50kg fixed casters to spread the weight and a further 2 each side of the pivot point for stability. I will add further pics as I fit this to the rig

Now that I have added a 3rd motor do I need to make any changes to SMC3 as I can not get any movement . I have checked the wiring multiple times and can see no reason for the problem

IBT2 Fpwm max 25kHz !! better set to 20kHz , due to the limitations of the arduino set the motor 3 to 4 kHz probably setting 31kHz "fried" IBT2 you probably need a new one.

Would the IBT2 burn out instantly as I did swap it for one of the others with no change . After swapping it back the the other 2 motors work fine . I then replaced the 3rd motor IBT2 with no change.

I have installed a new IBT2 and this is what I get when I run SMC3 on sine . The green line does not follow the blue line but the motor jerks back and forth a small amount is there an obvious issue I can address. Thanks

With the power disconnected to the motor does the line move when you turn the pot?

Success I have increased the power to the motor and reduced the lever arm length and I now have movement .As this is one of my old wiper motors I am not sure if it will have enough grunt . Just waiting for tie rod ends to finish and we will see . Video on completion.

For Output Testing to work the Default profile in Axis Assignments has to be configured, have you done that?

You currently have Extra 1 assigned to Axis 1 and I suspect, depending on your interface settings, it should be assigned to Axis 3.
