Interesting video. I knew about it but never knew that was what it was called. I like the idea of the FFB meters. Would certainly make setting up a lot easier having to set granity, mmos and in game settings

Once you've input all your wheel controls it opens up all the advanced sliders where you can save your wheel and button settings,,,

You have to leave the pause button as escape though otherwise it won't load your settings next time you boot the game up (codemaster glitch) :thumbs

Did you press F1 then bind your wheel not Left/Right but turn the wheel 1/2 turn CW then click "Steer left" and turn the wheel CCW (it should show up as Inverse X-axis)

Then turn the wheel 1/2 turn past center in the CCW direction and click "Steer right" and turn the wheel CW (it should come up as X-axis).

Load Dirt Rally, and navigate to the Controller screen. Click on “Choose Preset”. Press F1 while you are highlighting your DirectInput device to override the controller type to wheel. If multiple DirectInput devices are shown on this screen, you might need to override all of them. This should make advanced wheel setup available on the controller screen. You also might need to assign the steering axis, after loading the preset, in order for the advanced wheel options become available.

Lol if its not one thing its another....Now my CSS shifter isn't saving the gear, its just flicking when i put it in gear and not doing anything....Fun times....

Got it....over writing the other devices seemed to have reverted the shifter and SRW S1 to a Game pad. Once back to a Joystick, problem solved.

The TBW which i found to squeal like a stuck pig on 3300hz I also Dropped the TED .50% And what REALLY did it for me was going up to 100% on the mmo's and turning down the in game forces. Exactly as i do in Assetto, MMO's on 100% but In game Gain and On track gain are dropped depending on what car.

SAT and Wheel friction got tweaked a litttle bit in play last night. Up to 35 for SAT and up to 25 for Friction. It was a bit too light with those first numbers, but the overall road detail put the blinders on me. :D:p

Also Id like to make it known, I basically drive 2 cars in DR, the Main car being the Lancia Delta Integrale and the 01 Suby.

hi, - have i been using my osw wrong all this time? so in that article linked in the OP, there was this bit:

    "
    Turn down the torque

The biggest issue I found with the direct drive was that it was putting out too much torque for rally driving. I would recommend turning down all the force sliders in vibration and feedback until you get the level of force you want.

A general note – I’d suggest leaving your force slider in the MMOS tool set to 100%, and adjust the torque in each game down to the required level. This approach reduces force feedback clipping from the game, with headroom available for big bumps are required."

I've just been using Mmos to reduce the force, have i been completely missing out and running sub optimal ffb as a result?
does this apply to AC also?

Yes, Run your MMO's @ 100% and use the +/- on the Num Pad while on track, FYI I run 40% in the Menu FFB settings and adjust on track as needed which saves to each car.
