    3DOF
A motion simulator has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Always in the back of my mind but never really dug deep into how to build one. Recently my 9 year old son ran across some sim racing videos on YouTube and started saying he'd really like to have one. So one night just for fun I looked up DIY Sims and found this forum. Then I searched for DIY Sims on YouTube and ran across some videos by a guy named D Max ( @Halloween2go on here) and thought I could really do this. I got a used Jazzy Wheelchair off FB Market place and started ordering off eBay and Amazon. tonight I started to build my controller while I wait for a 3rd Jazzy motor and my Hall effect pots to arrive. I will be using the SMC3 code on an arduino UNO set to mode 2 for the IB-T2 motor drivers. I ordered an arduino hat/shield that has screw terminals as my soldering skills are minimal and I'd like to make everything as easy on myself as possible.
Screenshot_20211206-192406_eBay.jpg I also ordered 4pin connector originally for a 3d printer to use on the ibt2. I cut them in half to cover the 8 pins and then will land them on the screw terminals of the arduino hat.
20211206_185830.jpg I also ordered a kit of brass standoffs to mount the uno and ibt2s into a project box. I'll also be installing 2 40mm 5v fans to the box and powering them off the arduino when they arrive. Here are some pictures of my progress and I would love to hear what you think. I'd also like to say a huge thanks to Dave (D Max/Halloween2go) for taking the time to make his videos and to answer my questions quickly when I ask.

I'm still waiting on another ibt2 and the arduino screw terminal hat to finish up the controller but I'm happy to be making progress. Here are a few more pictures of the connectors on the IBT2s 20211206_185644.jpg 20211206_185223.jpg 20211206_185212.jpg 20211206_185633.jpg

    Hi, nice done.
Will You instal some diodes and resistors to prewent back power during movement change?
I have similar motors and driver (waiting for post from china), Im not sure is necessary or not.

I'm not planning on it yet but if I start testing and feel something is needed I'll go from there.
