Cartman's DIY racing Rig

    Hi All

    This is my DIY Racing rig that I built myself I'm Based in South Africa so There are not a lot of affordable commercial Rigs available, so i decided to build my own one.

    I have looked into making it a motion sim but unfortunately the cost of doing that in SA is crazy as everything has to be imported.

    My next step is to add a Bass Shaker to improve the immersion but once again they are not available in SA, so I've Decided to try the DIY Option Please see Images below.

    Tell me what you guys think.

    Transducers are a great addition and Game Vibe is available for the Pro version of SimTools, allowing you to 'tune' transducers for all sorts of effects.

    Hi All

    I have now decided to convert my rig to a 2DOF motion rig, I'm waiting for all the required hardware.
    I'm using the same concept as in the link below.

    Here is a list of all the parts I'm going to be using.

    Hardware.
    1. 2x 24v Garage door Motors
    2. 2x IBT2 BTS7960 43A bridge H
    3. Arduino Uno R3
    4. 2x Vishay, Pot Endless 10K http://www.mantech.co.za/Datasheets/Products/157_VISHAY.pdf
    5. 1x CV Joint
    6. 4x Steering Rod Ends
    7. 1x 24v 14.6A 350W Power Supply

    Software.
    1. SMC3 Arduino INO and Windows Utilities
    2. SimTools

    Will keep you posted on my progress, and Post Pictures when all the parts arrive and i start the build.

    Project update

    Control box completed Rig 80% complete list of things left to do, Build motor mounts, mount the pots to the motors and spray.
    And then on to the final step of the build testing all the electronics and configuring the software and Motion profile.

    I will post further pictures once the rig is completed.
