Basic tips, don't install Viveport, it creates stability issues, just use Steam.

It is important to learn how to properly adjust the Vive, I go over the basics of adjusting the Deluxe Audio Strap here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/got-my-vive-deluxe-audio-strap-today.10422/

The Vive also has two types of adjustments for your eyes and many people who were glasses can get away with not using them, which is a good thing as one scratch and the Vive is basically irreparably damaged. There are special inserts that can be added if glasses lenses are absolutely needed.

You should start with gentle VR experiences to get used to VR and stop straight away if you feel the least bit odd. Don't do jump scare with newbies, it can put them off VR for good.

It is now possible to have VR motion cancellation via SteamVR: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/vr-motion-cancellation-time-to-test.10241/

There is a lot of great VR content already out there and more is on the way.

The Vive can be used with a lot of Oculus content using Revive.

That's a funny tip on the viveport software...I'll probably uninstall it after my demo. It is terrible that a "SIGN IN" overlay appears over your computer screen...ATM I just CTRL/ALT/DELETE the task, but am still demoing viveport - with oculus on 17 r4 alienware it hasn't caused any extra issues that I'm aware of.
