cables and slip rings ?

    i am wanting to add some buttons and a rev / gear indicator to my sim wheel

    the wheel has no stop so the wheel could in theory be turned multiple times in one direction

    what is the best solution to stop the wires getting twisted too much ?

    is there a suitable slip ring solution ?

    i am concerned that the wheel could power up incorrectly and start spinning

    yes i was thinking that may be the way forward - program an arduino / STM to transmit serial over bluetooth
