    Here my 6 dof motion rig in progress.
    I plan on going with a triangular base to cut down on the size of the footprint, as I am short on space.

    try keeping most of the weight near the seat. As I've seen most 6 dof rigs have a base a bit wider than the seating area. and I guess it'll be easier to attach the pivot points to the frame.

    Thats exactly what Ive done.. for the cockpit/viperpit part any extra building is being done with lighter materials.

    Ya. I got zero communication with my motion box. I want to ask a question. When I upload the sketch smc3 to my arduinos say mode 2 and that they're on comms eight and nine even my device manager says, 8 and 9 but if I look at the actual sketch in the Arduino ide it says comms zero and one, was I supposed to change that to 8 and 9?

    Yes. now before I had the motion box built I had bought some 15 ft USB cables for the arduinos. now I'm wondering are they too long for one, cuz they don't need to be that long I really don't need them that long I didn't know that, and two, do you think that if they weren't data cables then it wouldn't show up anything when I go back in the IDE with those cords plugged in right I wouldn't be able to read anything on the Arduino or anything right correct

    If the Arduinos don't register in Device Manager against Ports when using the long USB cables then likely they are an issue.

    Is it possible that they aren't data cables?
    Just power?
