I leave here a "solution" I found for the missing chance to load setups if using the Oculus Rift, hoping Kunos will fix this sooner than later.

I launched the acServerManager.exe and configured my own server with the track/cars I wanted to race. Set a password if you don't want someone from the internet to use it ;-)
Configuring the server you can force a default setup for each car (you load it in the appropriate section; it has to be named after the car's folder name: eg "ferrari_458_gt2.ini"). A smart way is to load a setup that you previously edited without the rift.
You can find your server in the Online/LAN section of AC.

Of course you can't then change the setup via a menu, but you can always edit the ini setup file and relaunch the server to apply the changes.

This method doesn't allow to race against AI, but at least you don't have to use the default setup with hard tires, 30 l. fuel, ...

NK spend MONTHS on the One:1 sounds, also spend another few month's keeping it updated and tweeking it over the month's with the Fmod changes........Your not going to find many people as experienced with Fmod as NeverKrash was. Its a real shame he's hung up his hat for the Community mod scene and has gone onto a Professional Gig that his Assetto work offered him.

A lot of modders have that target (being finally hired): it's good for the company that hired him, a little less for the community, although we could enjoy his work through official releases

Im not too sure actually what he's doing now. I honestly dont think it has Anything to do with Racing sims, Fmod is a Far bigger thing than just Sim Racing and Asssetto.

Lol you guys are asking a bit much, as Stefano said, and has said in the past they have a Major update coming out next week *1.5 and Console release there still working on. Stefano and crew have remained amendment they weren't going to have thing's ready for CV1 release. No where did he type that or claim to be ready for CV1...... So get your panties unfurled and chill out. It'll happen in due time.

I understand what they are working on but when it comes to VR the lack of progress since the 0.6 runtime, the incomplete menus and the latest comments means that practically speaking AC is just plain unplayable for competition and has been superseded by other options that allow full game play and ease of VR use.

I think AC is a fine simulator but as VR is my thing I abandoned it some time ago as the VR support and refinement is just not there and is not likely to be for the foreseeable future.

Lol, sorry but i just see that as more whining and complaining. You can Get on track and drive around right ? AC never said they would 100% support VR nor do they technically have to. VR %'s for players is in the single digits, Not exactly high priority for the dev's.....I full heartily agree with his plan to ensure the game itself is perfect(within reason), then move on to other stuff that needs tweeking. Kinda like V2 of Simtools. were not rushing out to Get the Vibe or video player done, it'll come in due time.

Not whining and complaining, just explaining why AC is not ideal for VR users.
