    Hi everyone,
Hope that you all are ok with this covid19 outbreak.

Seem that made first the thread, before coming here, but there's always time to make it :)

Been already making several sketches in the last couple of year/months.
I have been looking to gather some of the so called top components, and in the coming days, weeks, expect to receive some of most of electronics and starting to assemble.

For sure isn't going to be easy, specially for someone that has a disability and also has budget limitations, but when we are passionate for something, and driving is the one that compels me, I might say that there's no limits and piece by piece for sure I will make it, so I'm focusing to move ahead in development.

The most of the guys I looked at, saw that their builds are using Simtools and been the best to have on-board controlling , so If you can help me on building my dream machine, I would appreciate a lot.

    Thanks.

    A nice day to all.

    Johnny Stark

I guess I should have started here instead of diving deep into the steep learning curve...

    Hi Everyone,
Adrian's the name and tend to overbuild, 99% of the time overthink/over complicate things more than they should. My view on most projects is " if someone built it, whats to stop me from doing it as well..."! My background is quite colorful as I'm a Certified Automotive Service technician, Machinist, Millwright and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
I don't easily deter from a project and quite stubborn LOL
Pretty good with a wrench and a soldering iron, but suck at the software side... lucky for me I'm a persistent and don't give up which is starting to show in form of gray hairs :/

Already have eyeing a few threads and I've found a mix that is to my liking... needless to say i already ordered some hardware from china as it seems now's the time with all this *****-19 going around. MiGE 130-M15015 with the BISS-C encoder is in the mail as of this morning. Plan is to even build an overhung pedal set with hydraulic brake and clutch, however I'm bumping into my first annoyance with the SimuCUBE board only being rated for 3V inputs meanwhile most sensors out there are 5V an dby the looks of it i might have to add a arduino to act as a logic translator or sink signal to ground with a resistor to achieve that 3V, but most likely go with a Teensy or Uno R3.

Should really start that thread LOL

    Hello everyone,

I'm Kévin, 31 y/o from France ! I'm leaving near Poitiers and father of a 2.5 years old daughter.
I'm working as a designer for pallet trucks, and my passions are motorbikes (stunt and supermoto) and of course….simracing !

I used to play with a homemade fix chassis + Fanatec CSR (since 2012). Now that I have some freetime "thanks to" covid 19, I decided to finally start my upgrade project with the parts I purchased 3 years ago !
I did a project presentation in the DIY motion simulator section already.

I'm sure I'll find some answers here, because if I'm quite confortable with the mecanichal design, the software aspect isn't that clear and obvious for me !

    Thanks in advance,
    Kevin / Articho

Just wanted to introduce myself. Got my first playseat in 2007, been upgrading piece by piece since. Also do sprint and endurance racing. Next phase will be motion and considering an sfx100 build but looking at a lot of options. Just made a big step in my setup so have time to enjoy it while I figure out or start the build process for motion.

Can’t wait to suck down all the awesome info on this site!

Hi everyone, I finnaly decided to jump head first into my first DIY sim build.

My name is Matias and im 29 years old, originally from Argentina but ive lived for 5 years in the US and now its 15 already here in Spain.

My sim rig right now is geared towards racing, its a fanatec clubsport 2.5 with v3 pedals and oculus rift for vr mounted straight into a great office table made out of glass :):):)

I live in a very small appartment and im using the only space I have available in the house which is a 200cm x 90cm rectangle and im going to try to make a foldable rig with only traction loss.

Ive already been looking around to learn what I need to buy, already ordered a jrk and a worm gear motor (maybe too soon :)), I knew about this community because a couple of years ago I ran into a post that explained how to get rid of the slop in the g27 steering wheel.

I have no clue of what im doing by the way! Minor to no electronics before, have soldered maybe three wires so wish me luck haha
