Anyone live near Silverstone?

    Well I really should have thought this out a bit more. I am in England for a week and thought I would book a room in Silverstone and watch amateur races today, Sunday. I mapped it out and found how I could get there via public transportation, etc. Didn't think to make sure that the busses ran on Sundays . hint: they don't.

    So, I have a non-refundable room booked and no way to get there.

    I do not seriously expect anyone to respond, but use this as a cautionary tale

    That sucks!

    I struck the same thing when recently visiting Lake Como in Italy, you could not get a bus without a ticket, but you could not buy a ticket online or on the bus, it had to be purchased from a local bar which was closed on Mondays :roll
