Given the first painting with an anti-rust primer on the base and motor plates, tomorrow I'll move on to painting.

    Good project!

Try to improve your welding skills ;)
it's really advised to grind the welds: you can check if it's really fused (you may be surprised! it's often not really fused. The bumps we see are not a good omen.)
    And it's more beautiful.

Hi Racingmat, I thought I couldn't even do it, it's my first time with the welding machine. Let's hope it holds up ...

However with the hammer I beat the welds once finished following the tutorials and it seems to hold.

Tomorrow I put on a first coat of paint and once it is dry I try to mount the plates with the motors

Now I am calculating the dimensions of the upper base in the CAD to see how I can insert the seat with the accessories

Hey Steulm. I look forward to hearing how this works for you. How did you decide on 40mm/60mm levers? Is that what your 2dof used?

Project is looking great so far!

Hi Keith thanks, you are the same levers. They have two positions at 50mm and 70mm from the motor shaft.

Looking good. You made the rods? Did you just weld a nut to each end of the pipe?

Here, I finished assembling everything, I cut a piece of plywood to test if everything works and then I will decide how to obtain the upper platform

Yes, I connected everything and calibrated the motors with SMC3. I'm finishing the setup on Simtools but today and tomorrow I have to wire an ethernet network in a studio so I'm still.

    Awesome build!
Is there any specific reason why you want the connecting rods that long? I'd try to keep them as short as possible for stability.

Yes Chris thank you, once mounted I realized that 500mm is too much ...
As soon as possible I try to change to 350/400mm.

Cool! Out of curiosity, why not less? Is that the minimum?
