I've admiration for anyone building a Stewart platform rig, and you decide to build *three*... :)

Truth be told, it probably won't be much more difficult than one, but still... Wow.

And, lucky kids! Their very own 6DOF simulator. I'm certain quite a few members here wouldn't mind being adopted. :)

I can predict with confidence where your power bills are headed in the future once you get all three sims up and running ;)

I tried to buy those too, but shipping to Italy would have cost me more than motors themselves - I should have paid delivery costs for each motor!

Looks good! Can I make one suggestion? You might use plywood at the mounting points instead of lumber. Much stronger and less likely to split along the grain. Far less likely to compress as well.

Thanks Historiker, I know as well about quality plywood. The motor mounts are dried southern yellow pine. The 2 x 8's set in my building for 6 weeks before using, dimensional lumber has its strength and durability when chosen carefully. I speak with experience for both. You are knowledge about wood. I appreciate your input.:)

;)8 to 10 thousand USD. This includes computers, controls and flight cockpits with lots of switches and displays. I try not to keep track of funding only look for good buys.

Are you looking to mount monitors on the rig ? You have to be careful with the weight especially depending on how long your levers are going to be. Heat becomes a major issue

Monitors will be mounted on cockpit rig. My set limit is 90lbs. Going light weight on all construction and components. I appreciate concern and don't hesitate to input. Thanks bro!
