I can help you with this!

First I need to know the software you use for playing the "movies".
What we need to do is simply make a plugin for that app.
Is this video software something we all could use in the end?
Sure be fun sharing ride movies amongst each other.

    - if you give more information about your attraction regarding manufacturer and software, maybe we can offer you a turnkey solution :cheers

@Ashraf What kind of licence model the movies are using? Are we allowed to publish or offer the movies here on the site later when we have a app for it, to show them people for example purposes?

@Ashraf My software came with my system. It is installed on systems computer But i have no installation package of this software. I need to create motion codes which i wrote my first post.

And my kindly advice is theese 5d movies must be licenced to watch. Sharing them on internet is fault. In the same way there are many sites and forums sharing normal cinema movies. But you know it is illegal and theese are warez sites.

This is what I have come up with after a few hours.
It's using a fake telemetry file with any old video as I had no real ride videos to play with.
    But it looks quite possible!

Sounds cool, so the possibilities to have a video plugin that we can create motion cue file behind could be a reality. Does sound like a cool addition.

    @RaceRay
I think there is nothing terrible if we set the poor resolution for films (we can even make a watermark "DEMO" on the screen), these films can be used JUST to introduce to know new 3D-films in the market, such as the law does not prohibit this ?! ;) and if the 3D-film is really interested, then you can apply for a license directly to holders :thumbs
    @ faruk
    - that's why I asked you the manufacturer of the attraction and software ... or better yet make your own controller, and then you will not be dependent on the manufacturer of the attraction and movies you can put from a third-party ;)

@Ashraf unfortunately its not even allowed to publish public ally ANY copyrighted material without permission of the owner. The law is merciless about it.
The solution is to ask Film makers to give us a permission. There are also some high quality films which are under the Creative common license which can be used for demo purposes without any additional license: http://vimeo.com/creativecommons/by-nc or 3d ones: http://www.rmit3dv.com/
@yobuddy the vimeo link should be interested for you as well;)

We should start a new project for a hardware ride recorder.
Something like a PC connected video camera + 6dof accelerometer/gyro?
Anyone have any other ideas on homemade ride films?

for already existing videos with no telemetry file...
I think playing any video at 1/2 speed while simultaneously recording the outputs from a 6dof accelerometer/gyro (moving the accelerometer by had to the on screen video) may make cue-ing a film possible and fairly fast? We could even allow a user to record 1 DOF at a time.

    yobuddy

@prilad Hi Buddy! I wonder if a Arduino could capture video and plot files right to a sd card, and if so would it be fast enough? Be cool to attach the device to the front of a real roller coaster lol.
