Your doing great! I'm mounting the TL motor next episode.. it will be on the midframe, cause I really wanted to mount it on the bottom but there's just no room.. So mid frame. trying to make the most of the TL.. but you actually dont need too much .. unless you plan on 'drifting' and if I was designing a drift sim, I would probably modify both frames to accomodate a longer rod.. Thanks for watching! I'm trying to grow my channel before I retire from 'work', so all helps out a bit.. Dave

I get home on friday.. should be back to working on it a bit 'cant wait to get this thing running' cause it's going to be better than the other 3DOF rig.. Dave

    Nice progress :thumbs

When do you plan hooking the motors up and conducting your first motion test?

I am looking forward to seeing your initial test run, it is always a moment of trepidation followed by relief, if everything goes to plan.

What is the CTC distance on the leavers, it looks pretty big for a full frame compact design?

Testing will be interesting, my guess is that the lever CTC distance will possibly need to be reduced to about half of that.

I use 60mm CTC on my compact rig.

I was just guessing, if they are too long I will cut them back to 60mm. You thinking my throw will be too much?

It is easy enough in the construction phase to add some CTC options, without compromising the strength of the lever too much, you don't need to cut the lever until you determine the ideal hole CTC for your rig.

I would suggest you add a hole at 60mm, start with that in testing and see if it can be extended, which really comes down to the actual mass of the upper frame/peripherals/user, the power of the motor and the gear ratio used.

So start at about 2.5 inches from center of shaft?
