Obviously you have any doubts about my concept, which I can understand and even could not negate lol

not only, from behind and from front. First I have no space at the front for such a big fan, ventilated at the rear I try to flow the wind somewhere around the seat to simulate some windy situations like as I experienced when driving a car without roof.

Your work is greatly appreciated :) BTW the motor is running at half speed only, imagine what happens if I fire up this monster to 24V...lol

Wow, that does look complex. So, while other people used wiper motors, you used winch motors. This is something that we are looking at doing with our simulator because the cabinet weighs over 900 lb. Have you thought about any sway (side to side motion)? Are you happy with the winch motors or is the action to rough when it moves?

Hi mate, my rig simulates sway and surge on rails - the video above demonstrates the fan only. Please have a look at the first posting, there you will finde the rig in full action. Winches are somewhat of contentious, very powerful but loud due to the (cheap) planetary gear. because of the pretty unlimited forces of the winches you can use way longer levers, so they will move slower ergo the noise is limited by the slower spinning.

Not really - my room is not that big, so each cm of the space is used for motion lol

I'll upload a new video the next days driving the Porsche 919 on AC. This car is mind blowing, insanely fast and unbelievably hard to corner. The car has "no" suspension *lol* and the rig is jumping and bumping like hell. With the latest update Assetto Corsa is on a new layer, never I physically felt more on track than now.

I am looking forward to the video @Pit, should be awesome on your rig.

How are you finding the Porsche pack? I have been to busy so have not invested in it yet, but have been planning on doing so. Obviously you enjoy the 919, any other recommended cars from that pack?

Buddy the 919 is not the most interesting car for sure, the PP2 is way more interesting than the first pack.

New Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual gearbox (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
-New Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK gearbox (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
    - New Porsche Cayman GT4 (street version) (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
    not tested

    - New Porsche 911 GT3 RS (street 991 version) (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
This is a stunning "race" car, so easy to drive, tendency for under steering.

    - New Porsche 718 Spyder RS60 1960 (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
Woooah, this car is the surprise per se, so exciting, unfortunately my wind machine is under construction again...
    - New Porsche 962C Short Tail 1985 (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
    - New Porsche 962C Long Tail 1987 (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
Easier to drive than the C9 or 787B
    - New Porsche 911 GT1-98 1998 (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
What can I say, first impression is is all fine, but noting special...
    - New Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 (Porsche Pack #2 DLC)
    - This monster and Nordschleife - you know I am really fimiliar with the Norschleife, I know each corner and still I hold a WR though I need to "relearn" the track. this car allowes many things you cannot do with other race cars. There is no physically limit...EDIT (worst Egnlishhhhhh)

As a conclusion Kunos updated the physics and sound and many other things again and IMHO this is the best pack ever.

You know Nords is my go to track, so I will go with your recommendation of the Porsche Pack #2 DLC!

I tried the URD LMPs and wasn't happy at all, almost a waste of money. So, yesterday I tried the 919 Hybrid waiting for nothing but disappointment. How wrong I was! It's a... beast. ERS makes it fly. Tight corners are a mess because with its cockpit you can't see the apexes! I'm fearing taking it to the green hell!

I loved the 911 GT1-98 and the road Cayman GT4. As Pit said, the 911 GT3 RS is easy, too much easy to drive, doesn't have the 'kick' but is nice to drive.

I still have to test the other cars, but it's surely worth buying the DLC

EDIT: of course waiting for your video @Pit

BTW the 919 is only VR or 3D Vision "compatible" imho. Though the Apex is hardly visible 3D helps a lot to "calculate" the distance and curve radius.
