    Mass = Ground ???

Because if you reverse the direction, +12V will be connected to your frame.

If your frame is connected to ground, get ready for fireworks!

Re: Wiper Motion Projekt Protocol by Interview 2010

    yes i mean the ground.

i have 2 cables on my wiper motor.

1- cable is for the first gear for the speed.
2- cable is the second gear for the speed.

and the ground (-) is the whole case of the wiper motor.

(my motion frame is made of aluminium.)

do i have to seperate the ground of my wiper motor from the case?
or can i leave it like that??

    thanks

You don't have to, but make sure the case doesn't touch anything metallic, and no chance of shorting it out while it is running.

    Isn't aluminium good electricity conductor???

There is NO COMMON GROUND between the motors!! And NO common ground is needed to the TTL parts of the h-bridge!!!

Did you measure if your motor wires actually connect to the case?

It is hard to say where the case is grounded. If it is grounded, the blue wire (and whatever is soldered to it) in going to contact the case.
You have to make sure that the red and blue wires only connect to the brushes, and maybe those coils around them, nowhere else.

Re: Wiper Motion Projekt Protocol by Interview 2010

Then find the brush that is not connected to the wires, the grounded brush. The wires most likely connect to the 2 brushes that are close together.

This is the connection you have to isolate from everything else. It is probably grounded through all the screws, maybe it's housing is connected too so be careful! Might need to take the PCB off.

After you isolate the brush, you just solder a connection to it and that will be one of the 2 contacts, red/blue for high/low speed for other contact.

    hello,

I am currently building on together!

and wanted to ask is if this is a disadvantage! (Or bad)
as the rod can be seen down at. (She goes inside!)

    thank you

Re: 2DOF Wiper Motion Projekt Protocol by Interview 2010

You want to have 90° between the rod and servo arm when the seat is horizontal.

The further you go away from this 90°, you will get less linear travel on the rod, for the same angular travel on the servo arm.
At 0° and 180° you will have no linear movement on the rods, because the servo arm moves it side to side, and doesn't push it.

    See: Sine waves. :)
