Well today while running around i realized Active electronics is Right around where i pick up for our business so I popped in and found some cheap 10k ohm linear pots but unfortunately when i got home they were undersized to the new hole diam i drilled last night for the Fancy pots from Element14. Threading for the nut was also slightly undersized so i said F it. lol Oh well, i tried. :(

plugging in jrks, power up first, then plug jrks into comports. As longs as its wired up right, there should be no blowing up of boards. Is that what you wanted to know?

ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a million to earobbie and bsft.

Yes Dave, My intentions are to essentially leave the JRK's plugged in and only turn off the power bar the PS's are plugged into, but now after my first session i see the lights are still on the JRK's so i will be unplugging those while not in use.

Well the second i mounted the motor's to the mounts and mounted them the rig, I knew the stock Angle iron wasn't up to snuff, So after getting thing's up and running this morning (and a bit of fun time) I tore it all apart and made these. IF these still flex, Ill have to go back to the drawing board on how to mount things. lol

    Stock Vs Upgrade.

Richard Burns Rally for the best overall rally experience and handling in a game, its an old one, but one of the best actual simulator games. (I really must try it out)
Otherwise, Dirt2 and 3 for more arcade style action , but still a handful to drive. Or Join Rob and I on-line for dirt 3 abuse.
    WRC (havent tried it yet).
Not sure of anything else. I think there are rally mods for rfactor, but again, havent tried them.

New Motor mounts are Super Sturdy, Had a few test session's with a buddy who's 220lbs vs my 150lbs and managed to get the chip up to 180 before getting scared and calling it quits. Stupid heat sinks I ordered have yet to arrive but I called a Computer geek buddy who happen to have a bag FULL of assorted sizes and shapes, So I Now have the small squares installed for a testing session and will be modding the larger one's to fit if the one's I ordered don't show up any time soon.

Small heatsinks brought temps down to 110 which is more than acceptable for the mean time.

Next up was the shifter mount, I couldn't stand having my CSS sitting there staring me in the face not being used, So i went to work using the old motor mount angle iron. Here's what i came up with. Drilled and tapped the Seat riser using 4mm cap heads from my RC stuff and managed to get it Exactly where i had it before. Its also Uber sturdy like it was before.

Nice job with the shifter. I have been thinking about buying one for myself as well.
Also, with the JRKS and heatsinks, do you have a fan on top to cool them?

ya i got a 2000rpm 120mm fan on top, but for what its worth i plan to add a 2nd fan to the 2nd power supply to even thing's out, MORE air is MORE better right ? lol

The CSS is One Sweet A** piece of hardware imo. WELL worth the coin.

Question for you guys, Trying to source some more motor's to build a buddy a rig and pgsaw doesn't have anymore of the motiondynamics style but happens to have these, From looking at the specs they appear to be exactly what were looking for, but with a different style gear box which we can work around as the rig hasn't been built yet.

    what do you guys think

I've got 2 of these ordered. Just waiting on delivery. I've used the motion control motors, zyt90's, but they're just OK.
Hopefully these will have a bit more punch!
