I'm building a 2DOF race simulator for school.
It's a project for my final exam.

Inspired by other race simulators that were on xsimimulator I started sketching.
At first i wanted to use a racing chair as seat but these are expensive and carseats are heavy.
So i maked my own chair with wood and foam.
    Here are my sketches.

I used the last skets for my frame.
Then it was time to start building.

    I have purchased a right-hand drive axle from a Toyota hi-ace and I got 2 Volkswagon MK2 wiper motors.
I'm gonna use an arduino leonardo with 2 IBT-2s and 2 LED powersuplies that deliver 12V DC and 5A.
The wiper motors are 12V and with some testing and I think they where pretty strong and fast but I didn't check the speed with load.

My grandfader did have some metal tubes.
I used a angle grinder to cut them in the right lengts.

my uncle has welded the frame together

Tonight I am going to upload photos that show that it is completely finished except for the software part.

Me too, I liked your approach with sketches, I've been doing all on eye, time to fix it
