Thanks for sharing the photos of your rig @dustin

What motors, control boards and PSU are you using? If you can I and others would really appreciate seeing a video of your motion simulator in action.

Yes I can see that @eaorobbie but was encouraging @dustin to add detail here rather than minimal comments elsewhere.

is this to fund your potential "business" interests?

EDIT, a lot of twist in the frame, a drag link would help stiffen it up a bit

Most new psu's will have a chip that looks like the one in my pic it is handles the over load protection, and under current protection, you break the connections on board across pins 1,2,3,4 after the connections are broke ground all the pins to pin 5 do not break pin 5s connection

Beware there is nothing stoping it now from getting that hot it could potential melt or something but do see the wipers shouldn't draw more than it can provide.

psu says it is rated for 25a on each channel . me and two friends played straight through every race in dirt 3 , 4-5 hours of constant use and it never seemed to hot , 8 months latter still running strong i see your reasoning for concern though

A server PSU would be a cheap alternative, but I am guessing you may have had the PSU you used lying around. While it is interesting to know about your PSU mod, as people's innovative ideas always impress me, I would not be suggesting it to other builders.

interesting, you have had this sim for 8 months, and now you intend to commercialise it.
Good luck, you had the nerve to ask for help, we gave you advice and now you are completely ignoring it

I have to be honest and say that i found the information on this site that lead me to the psu hack , I bought the psu brand new to use just for this im , not ignoring advise ill say everything ive learned about sims has been through this site. but like most i have opinions aswell . and now 8 months latter i will say a 700 watt psu that can handle 50 amps has no trouble running two wiper motors continuisly for hours without over heating it cost me 32 bucks on ebay , agreed there are easyer solutions but ive honestly had zero problems and when i build a new sim using more tips that ive learned here unless i upgrade motors i will most likely be using a psu again givin my sucess with this psu

EDIT People have been hacking psu's to use as a tool for testing equipment on a bench there a quite a few videos of there abilitys online aswell as tutorials for creating testing equipment with them, Id check it out , one can surely come in handy
