Thanks, I haven't had a chance to spend some time tuning the rig. Appreciate the links, hopefully will have some time soon to play with the settings.

Quick question, do I need to redo tuning center settings every time I change PID settings and / or % force in simtools?

    Thx

Yes you will likely need to tweak Tuning Center values if you are fiddling with PID and % allocation settings.

So the correct sequence PID, forces, tuning center?

So after spending some time experimenting with the JRK settings and simtools, I ended up dialing proportional down to 0.75, integral to 0.03, derivative down to 1.0. If I further increase proportional , I loose a lot of details such as bumps, etc. My surge is set to proportional 0.5, derivative 0.75. If I increase the values I end up loosing the power supply. Everything seems to be stable except that every now and then after a crash I get kicked out of the game manager and have to restart it. Anybody knows when v2.0 might be coming out as it supposed to address this issue? Still need to tune the forces in the game engine and then I'll post a vid.

    thx

i got the motion the way I like it but I am getting constantly kicked out from the game manager. Especially when it it a multi car race vs. a single car practice. What is the best way to tackle this with the minimal effect on the motion feel?

    Thank you

In Game Manager try lowering the % to say 97%.

Most likely the trigger are hits, which are more likely in a multi car race. It would help if you post all of your settings.

The video needs to be made Public so people can see it, it is Private at the moment.

So until @noorbeast pointed it out, I didn't even realize that I was missing sway and surge assignment all together fo axis 1 and 2. Somehow it didn't save my profie properly. Once I changed these DOFs to 20%, the whole thing went to hell. I am going to start over with resetting tuning center to all zeros and following the procedures referenced above. Right now there is just too much of chaotic movement :(

Frustrating as it is doing each axis/force individually before you combine and tweak them is the way to go. It takes time but will bring out the best in your sim.

Do you recommend setting each force and tuning center at the same time, or setting up all forces one at a time and then tuning center at the end?
    Thx

I do it one DOF at a time for both Tuning Center and the percentages in Game Engine. Although don't lose sight of clipping the signal by keeping tabs on the effects of your adjustments in 'Virtual Axis' in Game Engine/output testing. Ends up a bit of a balancing act for the chosen car, track and the available resolution of your sim.

silly question, what do i do if i want to increase the range of the movement but decrease sensitivity?

    thank you

It is a combination of the Axis % allocation and Tuning Center values. The higher the Tuning Center value the more axis movement but less motion fidelity.

Bigger Axis % = more movement in general. Decrease sensitivity = bigger Tuning center.
