    Hi all,

I have been reading about motion platform for years and got more confused the more i read :). This time i decide to start building, with my current understanding i think i will go with @RacingMat build for motion mechanism and CXC rig @Milton . This will be very long journey for me especially due to lack of mech & elect skill and try to build as low budget as possible.
little about me, my background is metallurgy, so theres a little enginner in me please dont hesitate to advice me in a very noob terms :).
Regarding this builds, due to my time constraint, i will ask you several option that i found in internet especially for motor option and if theres no match with my requirements last option will be wiper motor.

    Lets start. My questions:
    1. Is it match shoulder mount with cxc rig, if i have to use wiper motor?
    2. What do you think about this motor, http://fjb.m.kaskus.co.id/post/53b559dba4cb17c97f8b47f6#post53b559dba4cb17c97f8b47f6
    3. In case of wiper motor, is there any special requirement?is it all type of wiper motor okay (suv, mpv, trucks, sedan)

i think that is some questions will get me started, within a days i hope i can upload my initial drawing.

    August 2nd, 2016 (3 months later)
Finally, i placed order for motor. I order motor from Motion Dynamics, i bought 3 motor in order to get 2DoF + TL. finger crossed i hope it dont get lost in transit.

and finally decide to through @Nick Moxley path, but due to budget constraint i will use MM instead of JRK, is there any member have code for MM 3DoF?

    1. Is it match shoulder mount with cxc rig, if i have to use wiper motor: Because of the inherent leverage a shoulder mount seat shaker design is a good one to use with wiper motors, which are less powerful that other DC motors many of us use.

    2. What do you think about this motor: Sticking with 12V is likely to be a cheaper option if you use Arduino/Moto Monster control boards and server PSUs, 24V can be done but complicates things a little in terms of control boards and PSUs.

    3. In case of wiper motor, is there any special requirement?is it all type of wiper motor okay (suv, mpv, trucks, sedan): The most important thing is ground isolation, which most wiper motors need or you will damage a board: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/wiper-motor-mandatory-ground-isolation.25/

    Hi! good project:)

If you're a newbie and have a low budget, there is my advice: stick to a tutorial! follow exactly the requirements, don't try something new, buy a true Arduino (not a clone)...

+1: 12V is the simpliest and cheapest option

    @RacingMat after discussion, there's no MoQ and 1 yr guarantee, for 6 motor (29.8$ x 6pcs) + 268$ shipping:(

what do you think, is it much better than Wiper? and how about comparing with motion dynamic product?

    --------------------

Let me summarise my finding so far, the price is for minimum 1pcs purchase:
    1. 90ZYT105+with+NMRV40, $65.54 per pieces excl shipping (24V but can change to 12V) from http://m.alibaba.com/product/60123439708/12V-DC-Motors-worm-gear-motor.html

Very interesting what you've come up with, I have also sent a price Request to the seller of #2. If they come back with the same price, I will be shocked and Flabbergasted as to how much $$ Pgsaw is actually making when he sells 100 units, lol

I will obviously report back with the quote i get.

I think so too, is it too good to be true?payment method T/T wire transfer. They communicate by email not by Alibaba internal Trade Manager.

Actually #4 is what caught my interest, their motor code is the same with motor from Motion Dynamic ZY7712 (https://www.motiondynamics.com.au/worm-drive-motor-12v-24v-200w-180-rpm-20nm-torque.html) the difference maybe WATT.

ok so i got the same 29$ quote from # 2 seller. But unfortunately he wants 268$ to ship a Box of 6 motor's. (Pgsaw recieves their motor's by the 6 pack) so 442$USD for 6 motor's while not Super expensive, isn't exactly as cheap as just 29$ a pop when you first think of it.
