I am in the process of re-creating TronicGR's simulator...
im 40% sure i can do it (im not too confident with the circuits.. but im giving it ago)

If i can create it, im going to make 2. I want to have 2 in my games room so i can race them with my friends. (finally a legal way to drink and drive!)

i know this is about a year off, but if it is possible, is it possible to use 2 high end computers for the game, and 1 computer to control 2 simulators?
    (perhapes using vmware or something)

    Hi,

No need for more computers... A game computer equipped at least with core2duo, can run both game and x-sim2 profiler. The X-sim2 profiler has the ability to isolate the motion control to one core and leave the other core free to be used by the game! The hard work of positioning the motors is done by the AMC1.5 microcontroller so the computer just sends to it the position values!

You can leave the Lan bandwidth free for faster lan gaming connection between the two simulators! :D

I find this very interesting. Could we please discuss this a bit further. For example, adding more sims. What is needed to expand so each sim could compete against each other or go solo?

Competing against other drivers or going solo has little to do with the simulator software. What matters here is the capabilities of your simulation game. Most all racing games for example have the ability to race against other users online, or race offline. The simulator software only extracts g-force data from these games and applies it to your actuators.

So if I understand correctly, each sim will require one computer for both gaming and motion. 2 sims, 2 computers; 4 sims 4 computers (depending on the game capability).

Instead of loading each sim/computer individually, is it possible to have a seperate master computer to control the loading, resetting of the game for quick resets or starts. How would one set this up?
