Someone mentioned that these motors might not be good for 6Dof platforms, is there any reason why? Is it because in 6Dof platforms the weight needs to be fully supported by the motors (no axis). But I could also see it that with more motors comes less power requirements. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Also, it seems the seller has discontinued the motors on eBay, and I can't seem to find them available anywhere. Anyone know where I find some available?

I found these motors on Ebay from Canada (I messaged them and they replied)

The problem with these, is the gearbox ratio, but I read that you can change the gearbox.

Yes, depends weight of moving part of rig (seat, speakers, steering wheel, etc) + how heavy you are.
Too much weight at wrong gearing and these motors will be no good.

I think, you best consider actuators for 6Dof.

Nobody has tried it, but you could be the first to try / test a double UV joint (one connected short distance above another) in the centre, those you still get back / forth, side / side movement. just an idea.
